3/3/2021 people who say they are leftists are not talking anymore about women's struggles in pregnancy, childbirth, childbearing, abortion, miscarriagesRead Now I'm a Brazilian Journalist who has been an activist for human's rights since ever. At 14 years old, I was already on a march for the impeachment of a corrupt president, who were simply increasing poverty levels in my country with his politics. When I voted, it was always for left wing candidates on all levels. I became an activist for birthing women in 2012, fighting against obstetric violence for Brazilian women. Now, the left has left women for good. They no longer fight for women's rights. Instead, they keep championing males who identify as women for strategic positions in politics, widening the sex gap in political representation instead of reducing it. I started a twitter thread in August 2019 focusing on female issues to determine the root of women's oppression by men. It became very clear, very soon, that women are oppressed because they are born with the female anatomy, which is the only one that can potentially bear children. Women's ability to gestate is exploited by men at every turn, turning females into walking incubators and dehumanizing them. I am now trying to spread the feminist theory through a book called The Grumpy Guide to Radical Feminism, where I explain, with supporting quotes from feminist theorists, the root of women's oppression to whoever is still ill informed about the power structure that is patriarchy. This sect of leftists like to call themselves progressive by replacing women with males who identify as women. Meanwhile, these same people who say they are leftists are not talking anymore about women's struggles in pregnancy, childbirth, childbearing, abortion, miscarriages. They also say that the Grumpy Guide to Radical Feminism is not "aligned with their politics". Which begs the question of what are, in reality, their politics. By replacing women for biological males, leftists are keeping women behind, in a place of servitude, which by no means feels "progressive".
Andreia Nobre I used to consider myself as fairly far left and I supported many organizations and causes through volunteering and activism. Since the vast majority of traditional left causes are now anti-women's rights I have abandoned all of these organizations and groups if they support trans-ideology. I am passionate about saving the environment but I will never support any group who help in the erasure of women. Someone else can save the rainforests and fight for world peace. I'm needed to help save women from the woke.
3/2/2021 When I asked why there was no Women's group I was told, by a female councillor, that there was no needRead Now I was an active Labour member for many years. When I asked why there was no Women's group I was told, by a female councillor, that there was no need. I nevertheless tried to form one but received no support at all. I left because the Party kept moving further and further Right but re-joined in order to support Corbyn. I once again left once I realised the Party was taking steps to erase women's rights and protections and All-Women-Shortlists. In the interim I was briefly a member of Left Unity because their strapline included feminism. Not long after I had joined I was told off by a branch grandee for raising a feminist issue (I no longer recall, possibly prostitution as I wanted Left Unity to campaign for the Nordic Model) on the grounds that such issues divided the cause. My branch eventually helped me raise the prostitution issue more widely but the Left Unity membership in general supported the legalisation (of pimps and brothels) model. I left the Party after a young (male)member submitted a motion viciously attacking radical feminists as they wanted harm to come to transgender people. The motion displayed profound ignorance on the issue but was nevertheless accepted without debate. When I emailed the female Labour councillor as local resident to complain I felt no longer comfortable using the local pool since it replaced the women's changing room with a 'gender neutral' one her two-sentence reply told me she saw people as people first. I am done with Left politics.
3/2/2021 I felt the [scottish green] Party was a place so hostile to debate and question I would be forced to leaveRead Now I was an active member of the Scottish Green Party and very committed to the SGP agenda. I wrote to the CoConvenor as I was concerned concerned about an inaccurate posting about JK Rowling she’d made on Twitter. She refused to accept my concerns and invited me to discuss it further on zoom call with her and the Party’s Rainbow co-Convenor. During this meeting, I was vilified as transphobic and it was suggested I leave the Party. A few days later I received notice of an official complaint against me for breaching the code of conduct. I provided evidence to demonstrate I had not done so. I was asked to delete some Tweets I order to remain in the Party. I did remove the Tweets, although they were not transphobic, but I felt the Party was a place so hostile to debate and question I would be forced to leave. Notably, Andy Wightman, A SGP MSP, left the Party a few weeks later for the same reason. I am bitterly disappointed, both in the Party and myself. I wish I had had the courage to stay and fight, but I did not.
3/2/2021 I will not be voting for [Labour] again until they make a clear unequivocal defence of women’s sex-based rightsRead Now I have voted Labour at every General Election since the 1990’s. I will not be voting for them again until they make a clear unequivocal defence of women’s sex-based rights and a prioritising of biological facts over gender ideology.
3/2/2021 The moment I started to focus my feminism on black women, when I tried to build up people like me, I was called a terf and a bigotRead Now As a black women, I became tired of trans activists saying that I should understand the struggles of trans women because black women aren't feminine enough. How dare they say equate black women to men. It shows how racist they are and how they view me as a token to push their own ideology. The left constantly wants to chant black lives matter but when a black women speaks up about the sexism and racism she experiences, she's silenced and shunned. The moment I started to focus my feminism on black women, when I tried to build up people like me, I was called a terf and a bigot. Meanwhile, trans people have the freedom to only focus on themselves and rage and others who don't consider their existence for every sentence they say. The left is hypocritical and I'm tired of it. Black lives matter until the black life is no longer useful for their agenda.
3/2/2021 that you should be unpersoned if you bring any of this up, has me despairing and looking to see if there's any elsewhere for me to goRead Now I'm a life-long Democratic voter, but the unwillingness to even consider that there could be conflicting access needs between women and trans-feminine males, that there might be issues with the sudden rise in trans identification in teen girls might indicate something's rotten in Denmark, that you should be unpersoned if you bring any of this up, has me despairing and looking to see if there's any elsewhere for me to go. I've also stopped supporting any organization that undermines women's rights, so the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, pretty much all of the LGBT organizations I used to support? No more.
Even the local grassroots organizations that long supported that had been about marginalized, abused women now focus more on transgender issues and needs. No more support for them from me. No support for the PTA when the schools are socially transitioning children without their parents' input. And my congresswoman? I'm hoping she gets an opponent I can stomach, because has a trans-feminine child she was front and center waving the pink, white, and blue when they passed the Equality Act in the house, so there's no hope she'll ever care about women and girls. I'm quiet about this, as my daughter's caught up in the gender nonsense, as are all her female friends, but that doesn't mean it's not a huge part of the choices I'm making on what I support going forward. Oh yeah, and how I vote. 3/2/2021 I will not vote for Labour, the Greens or the SNP again unless they start listening to womenRead Now I have always been on the left, which by my birth country's standards (France) is more to the left than in any English speaking countries. I was always a gay rights supporter. I have known transsexuals since I was 8 years old. Never had an issue with LGBT advocacy.
I knew that there was misogyny on the left, but the worst misogyny was always coming from the right, as far as I could see. That was until I became aware of transactivism and how the entire left supported it. The #metoo movement had only happened for a year or so when suddenly women were told to stop talking about male violence or male sexual behaviour ... because it was transphobic to recognise sex and the predatory behaviour of males. And the people shutting women down were left wing. I was a left wing SNP (Scottish national party) supporter after being labour for many years. But the way labour, the greens and the SNP are prioritising the rights of males to have full access to women over the rights of women to our own category, spaces and advocacy has lead me to leave the SNP. I will not vote for Labour, the Greens or the SNP again unless they start listening to women. I cannot even discuss this with my male lefty friends. I am profoundly disappointed that I cannot even discuss the impact the erasure of my identity and safe spaces has had on me.
I've been told by them "I won't discuss trans rights with you" when I have been discussing WOMENS RIGHTS. One has even started to call women TERFS. These 'friends' don't know how much I am afraid of them. I know they'd be happy to throw me under the bus. It's broken my heart, as much as the young women who are so desperate to placate them they play the handmaiden. We're all poets. So much for free speech. Women don't exist for them, and we are not allowed our own voices, speech our own safe spaces. My career in a male dominated field tanked out. I have never recovered from the toxic masculinity of my earlier life. Then I started to gravitate toward leftist politics only to learn that left politics are just as toxic. Leftists claim to be supportive of women and feminism but the reality of that is they are just as toxic as the right. Males run most left organizations, the best of them mute women's voices and views. The worst of them promote biological males claiming to be women as feminists, the voice of women, the preferred voice of women, the true voice of women while aggressively silencing women. Not only is this bad, but this is worse than what the right does because it fast tracks every effort of the right to disenfranchise women and bodily autonomy, and every tenuously protected aspect women have gained. We are aggressively and violently being silenced and driven from public space and accomplishment with lightning fast policy changes. Everything we gained over the past 100 years is vanishing in less than a decade.
